About this position

We are seeking to appoint an imaginative, enthusiastic, and committed teacher of Psychology and Sociology to join this outstanding selective school for boys and lead our provision in this area. This is a rare opportunity, with the post available due to the retirement of our very successful leader who has built these subjects into a popular and highly successful component of our curriculum offer.

We currently have two specialist teachers able to deliver Psychology in both KS4 and 5 and you would be the sole teacher at KS5 to deliver Sociology. Psychology is a popular GCSE choice with the department delivering the AQA specification. Both Psychology and Sociology are popular A Level choices for our high achieving and motivated students.

The vacancy would suit a colleague with experience of teaching both subjects to A Level, but this is desirable rather than essential, so if your specialism is in one of the two subjects but you are willing to develop and deliver the other we are open to this. We are also open to the possibility of this being a part-time post for the right candidate, if flexibility is required.

Ofsted rated our school outstanding in all areas in 2016 and this is a rare opportunity to join and help shape the future of our successful Psychology and Sociology department.

The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.

This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

Thank you for your interest. This post has been filled.
